On March 14th we got news of Prince of Peace School's Gym Renovation Campaign kick off. The gym, in dire need of renovation, has served for many years for community gatherings – meetings, choir practice, Boy and Girl Scouts, dinners for those in need, Lenten Soup Suppers, Evenings of Recollection, the Mardi Gras, Vacation Bible School, and, at times, even the celebration of the Mass.

Above is a March picture of the goal graph.

Less then a month later and the graph as shown a significant increase. Pictured to the right is the graph on April 6th.

Updates to follow next month!

The goal is to raise $100,000; the first $70,000 to go towards the replacement of the gym floor with a safer and more cushioned alternative. Any additional funds raised will go towards further refurbishments such as matting for the concrete walls, new moveable basketball backboards, retractable bleachers that can be used for games and other group events, and renovations to improve kitchen safety.
