This year's Seafood Festival and Craft Show held at the Long Island Maritime Museum had a little bit of rain and some shine.

The stage was set for mouthwatering seafood, maritime exhibits, family activities, arts, crafts and great entertainment.

The seafood was plenty and the avid seafood lover got to eat everything from Lobster to steamed Clams and crab cakes.

The entertainment, sponsored by Re/Max, included homegrown-centered musical lineup featuring Long Island natives like: Kristy Kaye, Dayna Rain, Lucas Prata, The Kung Fu Girls, Ashley Parker Angel, ZO2, Seven Turns, Zebra, Rocket Man, The Invisible, Blotto, Shannon McNally, Nine Days, Jill Gioia, and Gin Blossoms. Also favorites at the event were John Corr, Seven Turns and Pennsylvania's own, Inishowen.

The special attraction for this year was the Ye Pyrate Brotherhood described by the Museum as "a hardy crew of 17th century buccaneers with a sharp theatrical edge, reliving the days of high seas adventure on the Spanish Main."

Raffled at the entrance was a 8 pound lobster destined to make one lucky winner enjoy a hardy dinner.

The Nature Conservancy brought along a shallow seawater tank filled with creatures found in the Great South Bay. Children got to observe and touch Starfish, Clams, Oysters, Muscles, a Spider Crab, a Hermit Crab and the almost extinct Razor Clam.

The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation at Atlantis Marine World had on display information about adopting sea turtles and marine mammals. The Foundation's mission is "to rescue, rehabilitate and release marine mammals and sea turtles which was up sick or injured in the New York waters." Shown below is a seat turtle's shell confiscated at one of the airports and donated to the Foundation.
