The Rotary Pet Parade on Main Street was held on July 8, 2006 and it was sponsored by the Rotary Club. Registration started at 8:00 am at the Prince of Peace parking lot while the parade began at 9 am along Main Street in Sayville.

The Pet Parade, one of Sayville's favorite annual events was a fun event loved by all ages.

King Charles Spaniel won the Best of Show last year. Joey the iguana won best overall pet three years ago. Bunnies, turkeys, dogs, cats and other creatures large and small have snared other prizes.

Long Island's only Pet Parade, a quarter-mile trip down Sayville's main street led by Cruella DeVille, was a fun, good-will annual event where hundreds of animals were carried, pulled in wagons or strut peacefully by themselves, some in costumes.

This event was free and pet winners were chosen after the parade at the Rotary Park.
