The Long Island Maritime Museum
held a Vintage Boat Show featuring an
Old-Time Regatta on July 15 and 16,
2006.
The museum holds this event
every summer.
There was something for
everyone! Antique and classic boats and engines, classic
yachts over 25 years old, catboats, Moonbeams, and lots
more!
Several of Long Island's classic boat and engine clubs,
co-sponsored by the Antique & Classic Boat Society come
together to hold this two-day annual event on the grounds
of the Museum.
Both days featured most of Long Island's finest antique
and classic boats and engines.
Along with the Museum's vast collection of historic vessels,
there were sea chantey bands, food and lots of fun!
