The good news
at Prince of Peace continues with the start of the Knights
basketball season! The season kicked off yesterday with the
combined POP/Holy Angels girls' team fighting a tough game
at Our Lady of the Hamptons resulting in a 26-16 loss.
 The
boys started their season today away at Our Lady Queen of
the Apostles in Center Moriches. In a tight contest marked
by strong defense under the boards, our boys pulled out a
first-ever POP basketball win, with the score 29-28 to the
Knights! Every girl and boy who participated in the games
played with heart, determination and good sportsmanship, and
the Prince of Peace community has every reason to be proud
of their efforts. Congratulations to all, many thanks to the
coaches, and let's turn out in strong numbers at the first
home games at Prince of Peace. The boys' game on Tuesday,
January 10th will be our first home game. The girls
will play "home" but at Holy Angels in Patchogue on Monday,
January 9th.
Announcement for Price of Peace: This coming week is the
airing for Telecare:, where our school is featured for the
week. Channel 73 for Brookhaven, Channel 14 is the
cablevision guide for all channels and all locations.
Telecare on this Monday thru Sat. of next week 9:30am and
