Chris Bodkin Submits Petition with 4,407 Signatures
sayville.com - July 14, 2005

On Thursday afternoon, July 14, 2005 Islip Town Councilman Chris Bodkin went to the Board of Elections in Yaphank and submitted his petition of 4,407 signatures of Republican voters in the Islip Town who hope to get him and Steve Flotteron on the ballot for a Primary election to be held on September 13, 2005.  Chris Bodkin's petition had 4,407 signatures while only 2,000 signatures are required in order to be placed on the ballot.

Islip Town Councilman Chris Bodkin had previously been denied renomination because he had refused to be part of a GOP plan to overturn public referendums that establish term limits. He was replaced with candidates from Islip and Bay Shore which left many area residents feeling that they had lost representation on the Islip Town Board.

Islip Town Councilman, Chris Bodkin is a resident of West Sayville and has 13 years of service to the town as a deputy supervisor and a board member.
