Shawn Szatmari Carney was born in Florida on November 8, 1969. In an ironic reverse migration she now lives in Sayville along the Great South Bay of Long Island, New York. She began her illustrious artistic career much like any other small child: eating crayons. Shawn now paints imagery inspired by flight, freedom, and poetry using acrylic and mixed media. Shawn is currently enrolled full time at Empire State College majoring in Fine Arts and Business and pays the bills with a technology career in the music industry.
