Kids Corner - The Seven Wonders of Sayville

Jake's Story > 7 of 21 Stories - more to come soon >The Seven Wonders of Sayville

The following story was written by one of the 3rd grade students in Mrs. Geraldine Batterberry’s Class, Cherry Avenue Elementary. “The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs” by Betty G. Birney was the inspiration behind the story.

I think that Sayville’s beach is a wonder because sometimes I wonder how water was formed.

I think my street is a wonder because I wonder how long ago it was made.

Another wonder of Sayville is the Library. I wonder how hard it was to build it.

To me, the name Sayville is a wonder. I wonder way was named Sayville.

Also I think the people of Sayville are a wonder. I wonder why they wanted to live here.

I think another wonder is the Maritime Museum. I wonder how long it took to build it.

Last but not least. I think cherry Ave. is a wonder. I wonder what tools they needed to build it.
