Kids Corner - The Seven Wonders of Sayville

Aidan's Story > 5 of 21 Stories - more to come soon >The Seven Wonders of Sayville

The following story was written by one of the 3rd grade students in Mrs. Geraldine Batterberry’s Class, Cherry Avenue Elementary. “The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs” by Betty G. Birney was the inspiration behind the story.

I’d like to tell you about the 7 greatest places in Sayville ever made!

First, it’s Carvel. Their ice cream is so good you can taste it from the door.

Next it’s my house. It’s so fun you feel the excitement right before you walk in.

Now it’s my friend Chris’ house. He has a fort that looks like a war base in the military.

Okay, we are just getting started. My football team is the best. Everyone is very nice to me, especially Cameron and coach Batterberry.

Another wonder of Sayville is the Maritime Museum. Some of the boats there are from the 19th Century.

Our school, Room 3B is the best. My teacher is very nice and I have a lot of friends.

Can you guess what my seventh wonder of Sayville is? It has awesome pizza burgers and Chef’s omelets. That’s right, it’s the Modern Diner.

These are some great places to go to in Sayville.
