Kids Corner - The Seven Wonders of Sayville

Mia’s Story> 4 of 21 Stories - more to come soon >The Seven Wonders of Sayville

The following story was written by one of the 3rd grade students in Mrs. Geraldine Batterberry’s Class, Cherry Avenue Elementary. “The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs” by Betty G. Birney was the inspiration behind the story.

The 7 Wonders of Sayville:

My first wonder of Sayville is Foster Avenue beach because I like to dig and build sandcastles in the sand.

My second wonder would have to be the Gillette house because that’s where I go for my Brownie meetings. I love being a Brownie!!

My third wonder is The Sayville Movie Theater because that’s where I go to see my favorite movies.

My fourth wonder of Sayville is The Chocolatier! Because I love chocolate almost as much as I love my mother!!!

Number five is The Summer fest because I have so much fun there every year!

Number six is room 125 because Mrs. Batterberry is awesome and we learn new things every day!

The seven and final wonder would have to be my house and my wonderful and caring family lives inside of it!!!
