Kids Corner - The Seven Wonders of Sayville

Kevin's Story > 19 of 21 Stories - more to come soon >The Seven Wonders of Sayville

The following story was written by one of the 3rd grade students in Mrs. Geraldine Batterberry’s Class, Cherry Avenue Elementary. “The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs” by Betty G. Birney was the inspiration behind the story.

I think the Seven Wonders in Sayville are:

Gillette Park, because every time we have a Gray’s game at our home, we go there to practice.

Another Wonder would be Broadway field because I play all kinds of sports there.

Number three is the Sayville High School because I did all of my camps there and my brother goes there.  I can’t wait to play football there!

The fourth Wonder is Four Star Store because I get so many of my toys there.

The third to last is the Bay by Foster Avenue Park.  I pick it because I live close to it and every time I ride my bike, I go there.

The next one is the Sayville Movie Theatre.  I love all of the movies in there!  I like the one that is coming up, it is called MegaMind.

The last Wonder is my house because it is over 100 years old and it is very cool.

These are all of my Wonders.
