Kids Corner - The Seven Wonders of Sayville

Caitlin's Story > 12 of 21 Stories - more to come soon >The Seven Wonders of Sayville

The following story was written by one of the 3rd grade students in Mrs. Geraldine Batterberry’s Class, Cherry Avenue Elementary. “The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs” by Betty G. Birney was the inspiration behind the story.

Guess what? Have you ever been to Foster Ave. beach? It is the best beach in Sayville. It has a cool play—ground that me and my friends like to play on.

Have you ever been to Italian ices? It will cool you off after the beach.

Guess what? My sister plays soccer on the Sayville soccer team. Her team is really good. She has never lost so far.

Did you know that my mom owns The Portly Villager? They have very good sandwiches and drinks there!

Do you think that Cherry Ave. is the best school around? Because I do! I do because once you get there you will love it!

Guess what is the best soccer field? I think Baymen soccer Field is the best because it has a lot of teams that are very nice.

Last but not least, my home. I love my home because everything is warm and cozy and I am surrounded by my family and all of my pets.
