Putting on the Dog event, July 1997 A Pet Parade co-sponsored by the Sayville Rotary Club. Pets included a cute little pig, tropical birds, chickens, a gerbil, a turtle, rabbits, goats, and dogs of all varieties. 180 pets were entered in the parade and marched along with proud owners. And not to be left out, 1 cat was entered looking bored as only cats can, but putting up with it. Prizes were awarded in many categories and everyone went home happy.
